Pearls, as are many other elements have their own jargon. Have you ever been in a jewelry store (or seen online) and I've seen say / the seller: "These are real pearls, not cultured"? This statement is actually somewhat 'misleading. One might think that you pay more for natural pearls, because they are not true, false and perhaps even think that pearls are not real! This is simply false, and in this article, I will tell you what the real differences betweenthe two are.

First of all, both natural and cultured pearls are real, as opposed to artificial pearls. They share the same qualities which are made of mother of pearl are polished, shiny, and other qualities that we know and love. The differences stem from the method of education. Natural pearls are formed when some kind of irritant in an oyster makes its way (or other soft animal) Coat (fleshy tissue). The oyster attempts to isolate the irritant covering of nacre, or motherthe pearl. The pearl may or may not be round, big and shiny. Then the value of natural pearls come from their rarity – in fact only one in ten thousand oysters a pearl of nature, which can produce are used in the jewelry industry.

Cultured pearls, on the other side to control the process using a core bead or a piece of tissue in oysters. This is the only part of "artificial" process! Saltwater pearls are cultured with a bead core, while the fresh waterDiversity caused by a piece of mantle tissue, giving them a slightly thicker nacre. Because the process can be controlled easily, most pearls are cultured on the market actually. This allows a uniform shape and quality control. In fact, its Akoya pearls, generally considered the gold standard, all saltwater cultured pearls, and they are beautiful.

If you happen to have a complete chain of natural pearls, expect the price to pay and haveTo be examined by a gemologist only guarantee the authenticity. Let anyone make you think, cultured pearls are of lesser quality, but – they are formed by accelerating and controlling the process that occurs in nature almost the same amount of nacre (especially freshwater pearls and South Sea), and are equally beautiful.
